5 Health Reasons to Not Quit Coffee

For those avid readers of my blog (thanks for reading MOM!!!), you know I have been trying to cut down on my intake of coffee. Thanks to this article, now I don't have too!!!

Highlights:

  1. Coffee protects your heart: It is loaded with antioxidants! You know, the stuff that is against oxidants.
  2. Coffee diverts diabetes:
  3. Your liver loves coffee: "might prevent liver inflammation and inhibit cancer cells."
  4. Coffee boosts your brain power: Reduces risk of dementia and Alzheimer's.
  5. Coffee helps your headaches: "Exactly how caffeine relieves headaches isn't clear... blood vessel constriction could help relieve pressure."
So there you have it! Drink your coffee guilt free and love life!

BUT! The reason I want to limit my coffee intake is the fact I sometimes consume an entire pot of coffee in one day! That's 10-12 cups! I get jittery, dehydrated and get muscle cramps after hard workouts. 1-5 cups a day is fine, but 10-12 is absurd!

Saw this on yahoo the other day and thought of you. I drink 5-8 cups every morning and feel fine. When Becky's mom is staying with us I drink it constantly all day and I feel it has a negative effect on my body.

I prob. drink 3-4 cups in the morning but never tried having my mother in law stay with me all day.

I only drink a lot when she is staying with us because she makes a new pot as soon as it runs out and I just keep drinking it, not because I dont like her or anything.
