I Can Do...

I don't want to hear about what you can't do.
People love talking about what they can't do.  "I can't do a pullup!"  "I can't do a pushup!"  "I can never be as strong and good looking as Mike!"

We could all make a laundry list of things we can't do.  Why do we do this?  This negative thinking isn't getting us any closer to our goals.  Instead of thinking about what we can't do, let start thinking about what we can do.  And start thinking about how we can progress in order to get better.

Take something from your list of "can't do's".  Lets say you "can't do a pushup".  Can you do a pushup from your knees?  Can you do a pushup with your hands on a bench?  Can you do a pushup with your hands on a wall?  You can do a pushup.  It's a matter of finding what you can do, then building your capacity over time.  Eventually, with enough work, you will be able to move that "can't do" to the can do list.
