The Secret to Losing Weight

A lot of people have noticed lately that I have shed a few pounds.  People always like to ask "how did you do it?"  I tell them "I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit."  Which they respond with a disappointed "oh".

Most people would rather me tell them about a magic pill I found, or a magic exercise that trimmed all the excess fat off my body.  They respond to my answer with a disappointed "oh" because they want the easy fix.  They don't want to actually eat vegetables and fruit.  They want to eat the same crap they always eat but want different results.

I believe it was Einstein who said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."  That saying applies to nothing better than nutrition.  If you eat the same crappy foods over and over you will get the same crappy results.

So here is the "Secret to losing weight":  Eat a lot of vegetables, fruit, meat and nuts.  It really is that simple.  You eat just those foods and you will lose weight, feel better, get sick less, recover faster, have more energy...

We can get into more specifics and make the diet a lot more complicated.  But the first step is putting the right foods into your mouth.
